On The Cape of Eternity
On the cusp of the river's edge,
where the ocean meets the sky,
on the horizon where mountains
meet the sun.
On Eternity's Edge,
where life seems to take forever,
and we feel invulnerable
in the midst of chaos.
A glimpse at the better side
of that thin thin line.
A trip into something
that you never knew,
instead.
A fluke of brothers
bound by law
to do what we must not do,
but what we've got is
just being alive.
That's all we've got.
The stars flaunt their flares
in exhale of spirit,
a stretch
to the other side,
rounding the corner of the
celestial cape,
storm about to commence,
on eternity.
